Scarborough Shooting Stars Announce 2024 Season Schedule

The reigning CEBL champions will begin their title defense May 24 in Winnipeg

The Scarborough Shootings Stars announced its 2024 CEBL regular season schedule Tuesday. The reigning league champions tip off their third season Friday, May 24 vs. the Winnipeg Sea Bears at Canada Life Centre at 8:30 p.m. ET. The 20-game season consists of 10 home and 10 away games with the Shooting Stars playing 13 games verse eastern conference teams and seven games against teams from the west.


Scarborough opens their season on a three-game west coast trip that ends in Calgary for what will be a rematch of last year’s championship final verse the Surge on Wednesday, May 29 at 9 p.m. ET. The Shooting Stars will return to Scarborough to host their home opener and championship celebration on June 1 at 7 p.m. ET against the Niagara River Lions at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.


The Shooting Stars will host 4 home games in June and 6 home games in July. They will play conference rivals Brampton Honey Badgers four times and match up against in-conference teams Montreal Alliance, Ottawa BlackJacks and Niagara River Lions three times each. Scarborough will have home-and-home games against west conference teams Calgary and Vancouver, but will only encounter Winnipeg, the Saskatchewan Rattlers and Edmonton Stingers once during the regular season.


The CEBL season accumulates at the 2024 Championship Weekend (CW24) in Monreal from August 9-11. Host Montreal Alliance along with the top-ranked team from the Western Conference, will automatically be seeded into the Conference Finals at Championship Weekend. The full playoff schedule, including the Play-In and Conference Semifinal games, will be announced at a later date.


The 2024 broadcast schedule with all nationally televised games on TSN will be announced later this spring. All games including playoffs, will be streamed live on the CEBL’s OTT platform, CEBL+ Powered by BetVictor, on CEBL mobile, the official app of the CEBL (available on Android and iOS devices), and on TSN+.

A league created by Canadians for Canadians with a mission to develop Canadian players, coaches, sports executives, and referees, the CEBL boasts the highest percentage of Canadian players of any pro league in the country with 73% of its 2023 rosters being Canadian.
